After his 14 year old son was bullied for dancing, this Chicago dad decided to take a stand. The result is a nonprofit organization that encourages kids to embrace their passion for dance — regardless of gender.

When Greg Long’s son was mocked and insulted during a dance performance, the Chicago father was devastated.  But rather than meeting the slurs with equivalent negativity, Long decided to take the high road.  The result of that decision is a nonprofit organization called Dance On.

The name of the nonprofit aims to inspire children to embrace their love of dance — regardless of what someone else might have to say about it!  Dance On is focused on eliminating bullying, spreading positivity and supporting young dancers in financial need.

Way to turn a negative into a positive!  Go Dance Dad!
