Bridge to Books is a new nonprofit initiative that’s setting out to bring the Dolly Parton Imagination Library concept to the Stillwater community. Robert Kurzban discusses the youth literacy project:
Laurann Krischner, Katie Bang and Nickie Ferguson are three Stillwater residents — and they’re also sisters! Recently, the trio decided to launch a youth literacy initiative that will deliver free books to the doorsteps of children in the area. The idea is an extension of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which has gifted more than 161 million free books since 1995. Now, Bridge to Books hopes to make a similar lasting impact on the Stillwater community.
