Some nonprofit workers in the New York area are set to become eligible for the next round of Covid-19 vaccines.

The new job categories to become eligible for the vaccine in NY include:

  • Government and public employees
  • Building service workers
  • Some employees of nonprofit organizations

According to Robert Kurzban’s research, nonprofit workers in NY will only be eligible for the vaccine if their role is public-facing.  For example, working directly with people in need on a face-to-face, public basis.  The same applies to employees of the above mentioned job categories.
